SSMU named after V.I. Razumovsky has become the first-time entrant in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking

Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky of the Russian Ministry of Health has become the first-time entrant in the "Times Higher Education Impact Rankings".

This global university ranking is held annually by the prestigious Times Higher Education journal and the Elsevier Publishing House. THE's Impact Rankings, which publishes educational organizations on its website that have passed a rigorous selection based on identifying the degree of the university compliance with the "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDG), developed and approved by the UN General Assembly.

Science metrics, the number of students, teachers and researchers, working and study conditions, healthy lifestyle policies, cooperation with the government and public organizations, scientific profit were taken into account in the ranking.

In the realities of modern society, being in the digital space is just as important as achieving key development indicators. Representation of the Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky of the Russian Ministry of Health in the THE's Impact Rankings, in fact, means its highest standards in the field of education and science on the world stage. Our university has been declared to become a global platform for its future students and the academic community aimed at monitoring of educational and career opportunities, as well as scientific and educational cooperation.

Representation of university in THE's Impact Rankings is one of the most important criteria for its status recognition. In 2020 submission of documents for the competitive ranking required the collection and preparation of educational, scientific and economic data, and it took over 6 months to assess the application. This work was successfully carried out by the university team in cooperation with scientific departments. Our university ranked among 801–1000 best educational organizations from all over the world.
